The inspection and control of the path of a sealing pasta There is a reliable and precise verification, with exceptional results and an integrated data collection system for assessments related to changes or updates. The inspection and control system is adaptable to various materials component the sealant and as many different surfaces.

An example of an obstacle in the analysis of a stretch of sealing place on a metal material derives from the various reflections of light that can present themselves at the time of the acquisition. In particular in a two -dimensional system equipped with external lighting this phenomenon can damage the resolution. Thanks to particular software changes, the problem is circumvented by guaranteeing the maximum precision and reliability. The same can also happen in 3D systems, where a reflection does not allow the perfect acquisition of the sealant. The reconstruction of the image is also entrusted to the vision software, thanks to particular filtering or special tools, in cases where there are losses of acquisition due to bright reflections on the sealant, it is possible to reconstruct a clear image and corresponding to reality. The information that can be extrapolated from the inspection and control of the sealant are manifold: height of the sealant, length, Section area, volume, continuity in the path, etc. However, any information has instrumental constraints, not all vision systems can extrapola them, that's why why SoftSystem It offers custom solutions for any type of information.

Solutions

SoftSystem offers different solutions based on requests to control the customer. Multiple viewing systems have been developed for the inspection and sealing control, such as:

  • 2D double rooms: fast and at the same time precise system in detecting the continuity of the sealing path and in its width. With a single acquisition it is possible to check the entire path of the sealant, the metal base is positioned under the vision system, integrated with illuminators, and the control cycle is started. The trigger can be given both manually by an operator and a line management system automated.
  • 3D Profilometer: It is a system capable of acquiring the totality of the size of the sealant. A peculiarity is the possibility, thanks to the particular software created by SoftSystem, to analyze the sealant section with a step of about 0.5 mm. Unlike a 2D system where it is possible, with a single acquisition, to maintain an excellent resolution and have an area framed of different sizes, in this case it is necessary to break the route in several parts depending on the length of the route. In addition, a robotic system is needed that can transport the profit along the whole path.
  • Stroboscopic chamber for 3D acquisitions: It was designed to acquire high resolution 3D images that combined with 3D viewing tools and software, allow reliable and accurate solutions for various applications in different industrial sectors, such as the automotive one. Thanks to the large framework region, it is possible to acquire, at a speed of 200 msec, the totality of the sealing route and analyze it from a 3D point of view, allowing a shorter productivity and shorter times for applications in line with reduced timing. This type of stereoscopic vision room provides high resolution images built via a 3D points cloud. With such an application, all checks of the two previous systems are guaranteed at a greater speed than a 3D profile.
