THE inspection systems visual for the packaging industry They are entrusted to two linear cameras that scan a certain number of lines at a time. The vision system management software for the packaging industry is able to stitch the acquired images together to obtain an image for each camera that includes the entire pallet to be inspected for integrity. The software then performs the stitching of the image.
Inspection and control systems pallet integrity, can read and analyze each label in a single scan, both by scanning the barcodes and checking the OCRs present on each one. They are also able to calculate the number of packages on the pallet and, by comparing it with the information extracted from the barcode, indicate whether one or more packages and/or labels are missing and in which position. The result on the video then highlights any anomalies and the results of theinspection and integrity check of the pallet.
A possible and recommended upgrade is certainly the integration of a PLC to the existing system. This would allow improvements in terms of software execution speed and control precision. In the latter case, each data read by the software will no longer be compared with a reference chosen on the pallet, but simply with data passed from the PLC.
