Vision system for OCR reading and label positioning control
The vision system of theobjectification of labels, is able to check and verify the correct encryption placed on a label, or, to check the correct positioning of the label itself on a dedicated support.
The analysis is performed on labels made of various materials, including highly reflective ones. The system is equipped with a removable tray where the piece to be inspected is placed. A sensor ensures that the work cycle can only be started when the tray is closed. Once the cycle is started from the keypad, the tray is locked by a magnet until the inspection is complete. The result will be visible both on the dedicated app and on the keypad, where a red light indicates the reject.
Thanks to the high resolution, the vision system, ensures control over OCR very small in size (< 1 mm). From the application it is possible to set the recipes and consequently the areas where to search for the OCR.
By choosing a color camera, it is possible to verify the correct color of the label, however, integrating the system with a white light illuminator.
As regards both the control of the label position and that of the OCR, a diffused red light illuminator is needed to avoid unwanted reflections.
